PS mobile
Four and one half out of five stars
free
Photoshop mobile is a very useful app, it is easy to use, and is a good photo editor. I keep this application on my iPod and use it a lot, mostly for cropping.
The simplicity is great, I don't like complicated apps. Here's how it works: select a photo from your album. Then, select one of the options. Cropping is easy, just drag your finger to move the crop border (shown in picture). Adding saturation, tint, contrast, and lots of other options is easy too. Drag your finger left or right to select the amount. There are also other fun things such as borders and effects. A good app.

PicMix (lite)
Four out of five stars
free
PicMix is a useful app. It is a little hard to use, though.
This is an application that lets you create a collage, like photoshop (though not mobile photoshop) lets you. PicMix is pretty good on an ipod or iphone, but I believe it would be way better on an iPad because of how the controls work; Which is like this: First, you add a photo to the background. Then put one in the foreground. Here is the hard (yet simple) part: Use your finger to clear away the parts of the foreground you don't want. Even using the smallest brush size it is hard to not clear away something close to what you do want without clearing it. This is a good app.

iTranslate
Four out of Five Stars
Free
iTranslate is the best translator app I have found. It has 52 languages, probably a lot that you will never use. It is great for travel to a different country or for translating something in a book. Here is how it works: enter your text in the box at the top, then choose the language you wrote it in. find the language you want with the other language selector and press translate.
It literally couldn't be easier. Nice app, I have it on my iPod.

Dictionary.com app
four out of five stars
free
This is a good app, this is an application of my personal favorite dictionary website. One of my favorite features about this is that it has text-to-speech on most words so that you know how to pronounce them correctly. This app also features a thesaurus, which I find is more useful than the dictionary itself. Simple and useful, I keep it on my iPod.

Which map app?
There are a lot of good map and GPS apps out there. Let me start out by saying that if you are looking for a GPS app that uses iphone capabilities and cant be used on an ipod touch, then it would be best to find a different site. I have already reviewed "Offline Maps" (horrible), but there are loads of others; so which to choose?
The iPod comes with "maps", it is an okay app, but there are better. I prefer "Google Earth" and "Map Quest", they are on my ipod. Map Quest is best for directions, Google Earth, I find, is best for satellite images. A good rule of thumb when it comes to choosing a map app is to install the big name brands, unless you find a unique feature in a smaller one. Suggestions for other map apps, or any app, are always welcomed!

Analytics (lite)
Three and one half out of five stars
lite: free
I installed the light version of this app, as I always do before buying the full version. And I don't think I am going to buy it. It is okay, but not comparable to Google Analytics. The biggest problem for me is that doesn't have a map. That is one of my favorite parts of Google Analytics. Also you cant zoom in on the small graphs. Other than those things, it is a good application. It uses the pie charts and has lots of information.
